7 Vet Clinics in Dubai: My Own Experiences After Moving Here With a Pet
When I first moved to Dubai, I didn’t expect that finding a vet would take more time than figuring out where to buy groceries. But here we are. I’ve tried several clinics over the past couple of years — sometimes because I had to, sometimes out of curiosity. None of this is a ranking; it’s just my own impressions that might save someone a bit of time.

1) Modern Vet — the place I ended up visiting the most
I go to Modern Vet mainly because it’s close to where I live. Their branch in Fortune Tower, JLT, has become my default option for vaccines and general check-ups. Nothing overly fancy, nothing disappointing — just predictable care, which I think counts for a lot.
Address: Fortune Tower, Cluster C, JLT
Phone: +971 4 5971 000
Hours: 7:00 am – 10:00 pm
2) Vienna Vet — clear explanations and a focus on prevention
Vienna Vet moved up on my list because of how well they explain things. If you’re someone like me who wants to understand what’s going on with your pet (and why), this place makes it easy. They’re big on wellness routines — dental care, yearly check-ups, nutrition — and the style is very calm and methodical.
Address: Villa 55, Al Thanya Street, Umm Suqeim 2
Phone: +971 4 330 8555 / +971 50 283 3450
Hours: 09:00–18:00 (Sun–Fri)
3) Blue Oasis — great if your pet gets nervous easily
I originally heard about Blue Oasis from someone whose cat freaks out at clinics even more than mine. They were right — the place is quieter, and the staff works slowly, which helps a lot with anxious animals. They also have strong diagnostics (X-ray, MRI, ultrasound), which made me feel confident during the exam.
Address: Green Community, DIP 1
Phone: +971 4 884 8580 / +971 50 557 8834
Hours: Weekdays 09:00–21:00; Weekends 10:00–20:00
4) Amity — friendly, small, and surprisingly comfortable
I found Amity by accident but ended up staying for the appointment because my cat seemed oddly relaxed there. The clinic has a small, local feel — the kind where the staff remembers your pet after one or two visits. It’s a nice option for routine things like vaccines or minor issues.
Address: Villa 40, 39th Street, Al Barsha 3
Phone: +971 4 344 0856
Hours: 06:00–22:00
5) DKC — a lifesaver for late hours and travel-related stuff
DKC is well-known for boarding and relocations, but they also have a vet clinic operating 24/7. I ended up going there once late at night when my cat wasn’t well, and I appreciated that they were actually open, not just “available by emergency number.”
Address: Daytona House, Detroit Road, Motor City
Phone: +971 4 211 4800
Hours: 24/7
6) Pet Connection — the clinic I used for travel documents
When I needed paperwork for a trip to Europe, Pet Connection saved me from losing my mind. They deal with export certificates, microchipping, and all the pet-travel bureaucracy regularly, so nothing felt confusing. Their general check-ups are decent too.
Address: Summer Land Building, Al Barsha 1
Phone: +971 4 447 5307 / +971 50 936 7823
Hours: 09:00–21:00; emergency 24/7
7) Advanced Pet Care — straightforward, no-frills medical care
This clinic in Umm Suqeim/Jumeirah is a good choice if you like things practical and to the point. It’s not a flashy place, but the team there has been consistent every time I visited. I especially liked that they followed up the next day to see how my cat was doing.
Address: Villa 113, Al Besheen Street, Umm Suqeim 2
Phone: +971 4 321 2535
Hours: Mon–Sat 09:00–19:00; Sun 09:00–17:00
What I Eventually Figured Out About Choosing a Vet Here
After trying different clinics, my personal criteria ended up being pretty simple:
- how my cat behaves inside the clinic,
- how clearly the vet talks to me,
- how long it takes to get there,
- whether they follow up after visits,
- and whether the atmosphere feels relaxed rather than rushed.
It usually takes two or three tries to find a place where both you and your pet feel comfortable. If you’re new to the city — don’t worry, you’ll get there.
